| The Project Management Institute (PMI) has developed an industry accepted methodology for project management that is recognized in many disparate indistries. The PMI methodology is supported by PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP) certification program. Registered PMPs must posess a minimum 4,500 hours of project management experience, pass the PMP certification exam, and maintain a program of continuing education in project management. Abinsi Solutions Group uses the PMI project management methology for the projects that we lead. We bring to our projects existing management tools in the nine knowledge areas defined in PMI's methodology. By using our tools we can quickly initiate a project through defining a charter that first defines the project's scope and objectives, and second defines the tools that will be used to maintian the project's management plan (e.g. communications strategy, scope/budget/schedule/quality control measurements, change management, issue escallation, risk mitigation, and human resource planning. Abinsi has expanded the core PMI methodology by developing additional management tools used for program management (managing multiple related projects), records retention, transition planning, and PMO management. A full description of these tools is available on request. |
